What Are The Key Ingredients of Organic Fertilizer N-K:10-4?
Fertilizer is known for providing certain vital nutrients to plants. Besides of nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus, the key ingredients of Golinse Organic Fertilizer N-K:10-4 are organic matter, amino acids, fulvic acid, humic acid and some essential elements.
Organic matter (OM)
Golinse contains high in organic matter content (about 50% Min).
We know that the benefits of organic matter to soil function includes improvement of soil structure, aggregation, water retention, soil biodiversity, absorption and retention of pollutants, buffering capacity, and the cycling and storage of plant nutrients.
Besides, organic matter increases soil fertility by providing cation exchange sites and being a reserve of plant nutrients, especially nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and sulfur (S), along with micronutrients, which the mineralization of organic matter slowly releases. As such, the amount of organic matter and soil fertility are significantly correlated.
Nitrogen
Nitrogen (N) is one of the vital nutrients required for the rapid growth of plants, and their foliage and fruits. Plants synthesize proteins from nitrogen, and they also need this nutrient to develop seeds.
Plants usually assimilate nitrogen in the form of nitrate, ammonium, organic nitrogen, or molecular nitrogen. Though nitrogen is vital for the healthy growth of plants, an excess of it can result in an overgrowth, which can make the plants weak and vulnerable to diseases and insects.
Therefore, nitrogen-rich fertilizers are usually applied, when a plant has established itself firmly on the ground.
Golinse Organic Fertilizers contains 10% (Min) total nitrogen content. It mainly come from dead body of microorganisms after fermentation process and some other from Urea (about 2%).
Phosphorus
Plants require sufficient amounts of phosphorus (P) for flower and fruit production. It is also required for growing strong roots that are resistant to rot diseases. Fertilizers containing phosphate are usually applied on the soil before planting, and then continued until the plant establishes itself on the ground.
In Golinse organic fertilizer granule has small content of organic phosphorus (about 0.3% as P2O5). It mainly come from plant (sugar cane).
Potassium
In Golinse organic fertilizer Plus N-P:10-4 contains 4% Min as K2O.
Potassium (K) is mainly required for strengthening the plants. A deficiency of this macronutrient can result in stunted growth and reduced yields. Phosphorus can stimulate early growth in plants by increasing protein synthesis, and it can increase their resistance to diseases and insects. Potassium-rich fertilizers are typically used before or during winter. However, it should be kept in mind that an overuse of potassium fertilizers can kill the plants.
Amino acids
Plants synthesize amino acids from the primary elements, the Carbon and Oxygen obtained from air, Hydrogen from water in the soil, forming Carbon Hydrate by means of photosynthesis and combining it with the Nitrogen which the plants obtain from the soil, leading to synthesis of amino acids, by collateral metabolic pathways.
The requirement of amino acids in essential quantities is well known as a means to increase yield and overall quality of crops.
The application of amino acids for foliar use is based on its requirement by plants in general and at critical stages of growth in particular.
Amino acids are fundamental ingredients in the process of Protein Synthesis. Amino acids can directly or indirectly influence the physiological activities of the plant.
Golinse organic fertilizer contains about 8 – 14% of amino acids are also supplied to plant by incorporating them into the soil. It helps in improving the microflora of the soil thereby facilitating the assimilation of nutrients.
Humic acid and fulvic acid.
These are a family of organic acids, natural compounds, and components of the humus. There are about 11% (Min) of humic acid and 30% (Min) of fulvic acid in final Golinse organic fertilizer granule NK-10-4.
